mEET THE COACH
Michael Doughty-Athletes In Motion
My name is Michael Doughty, and I am privileged to be Jay’s personal training coach for his momentous attempt at the World Record.
I started coaching basketball back in 1983, and I have coached athletes of all abilities in a number of sports, from couch-2-5k running newbies and athletes who have gained International Honors and medals at Triathlon and Endurance Running.
I competed at County level across athletics and basketball during my career, and represented Royal Air Force Strike Command at middle & long distance running and basketball, and I have played for Carlisle, Lincoln City and Harrogate basketball clubs, and I am presently the Head coach of the Harrogate Raiders basketball Mens-1 team.
